McNabb the Anti-Christ

In addition to being insulted by Rush Limbaugh a few years back, now the President of the Philadelphia NAACP has decided to make public his utter hatred of the Philly QB according to ESPN.

Perhaps it’s time Donovan left Philadelphia and headed for pastures that could appreciate a player as gifted as him.

I’m sure Dallas would welcome him with open arms.

Howard Coble: Unrepentant and Seeking Reelection

In an interview last month, Congressman Coble finally poked his head out of that turtle shell he’d encased himself in and commented on the public outcry he stirred up last year after justifiying the Japanese internment during WWII, reasoning that at the time, they had posed a serious national security risk.

The Return of Proposition 187?

Supporters of Proposition 187 have begun a new campaign called “Save Our State Initiative” to place a revised version of the measure on the November 2004 statewide ballot, the Los Angeles Times reports (Hernandez, Los Angeles Times, 12/20).

Proposition 187, which California voters approved in 1994 but the state never implemented because of court challenges, would have restricted access to nonemergency health and other public services for undocumented immigrants. Supporters of the revised measure must collect 500,900 valid signatures by April to place the measure on the November ballot. Campaign organizer Ron Prince said that the campaign over the past two weeks has collected “hundreds of signatures and several thousand dollars,” the AP/Washington Post reports.

Those annoying “little boxes”

Why does California need Proposition 54?

Well, according to RPI’s website (http://racialprivacy.org), “Race should become a private matter that is no business of government’s. Think how refreshing it would be to throw out the entire system of checking little boxes.”

Those damn little check boxes! Wouldn’t it be so much nicer if race and ethnicity could be blurred and obscured to the periphery, so that they were no longer factors that divided us?

Wouldn’t it also be nice if our world leaders could all meet together once a month to hold hands and sing camp songs around a fire…? Imagine that, we would have never had the destruction of 9/11 if Osama had been holding Dubyah’s hand on a regular basis…!
