The top-seeded team in the NFC has just lost to the New York Giants, 21 – 17.   A team that went 13-3 during the regular season, earned a first-round bye in the playoffs and was guaranteed home field advantage throughout the playoffs.

Ugh.

I was going to write more but I’m so purely disgusted.  This was a Giants team that wasn’t even fielding its two starting cornerbacks against the vaunted Cowboy receivers — Terrell Owens, Terry Glenn, Patrick Crayton and of course Jason Witten.  What’s even crazier is that Terry Glenn, their number two receiver, has been out all season, and Romo still managed to throw 36 touchdown passes.  The ‘Boys should have taken apart that Giant secondary like they have twice before during the regular season.  It was just a dismal effort.  No blocking.  Tons of dropped passes.  No rhythm on offense.  And a couple of big mistakes by Romo (although all in all he had an average game).  God this weekend fucking sucked!

The Cowboys stunned the New York Giants last night in the Meadowlands, 35 – 32 as Billy Cundiff kicked his NFL record-tying 7th field goal to put the ‘Boyz ahead.

Definitely one of the best Monday night games I’ve ever seen. Quincy Carter became a man tonight.
