…rocked. Maybe it’s the not-so-latent geek in me that loved all of the special effects, but you’ve got to give credit to Spielberg: this guy is the OG when it comes to pure box office/action adventure/excitement. Raiders of the Lost Ark! Bygones!
Anyway, needless to say, my roommate and I thoroughly enjoyed it — but it was an event not without a near tribulation-like incident.
After the previews were finished and we were frothing at the mouth for the movie to begin, the lights come on and this voice drones over the speaker: “We have a potential emergency, please evacuate to the nearest exit in an orderly fashion immediately…”
For a split second I thought there was going to be chaos, but everyone kind of shuffled to the exits in a quiet nervousness. I think someone had just pulled the fire alarm. We headed back towards the entrance and they were letting everyone back in.
Screw Osama! We wanted to see the movie!
