Finally
I’ve finally done it.
I found a cheap web host!
ehostpros.com is offering domain registration for a year for only $11.99, and with that you get two months free hosting and after that it’s $4.95 a month. So far they’ve been very supportive/responsive: I placed my order around 3pm today and sent them an email around 6pm because I started getting antsy (most reputable hosts require at least up to 24 hours to set everything up). In less than five minutes I got an email back from them saying it would be up in about 20 minutes, and it was.
So I’m pleased so far.
Now the tricky part: installing MT. It’s a web logging tool that just kicks ass. I can’t even explain all the reasons why. Here’s an example.
But it’s super-confusing to install. Worst comes to worst, I can always ask my roommate to do it for me:)
This doesn’t mean I’m going to leave LJ completely, however (I can hear some grumbling in the background:P). I still want to maintain , and since this was my first journal, it’ll always have a special place in my heart:)
But boy…the possibilities of having my own host has me salivating:) My roommate and I talked about installing a Flash message board and possibly a chat interface…woo hoo:)
